How do I work the review queue?

Every recommendation in the queue takes one decision from you, from five buttons: Approve to quote, Snooze, Nurture, Maintenance, or Deny. Approve turns it into a draft quote in your Jobber. Snooze brings it back on a date you pick. Nurture parks it until your tech is next at that property. Maintenance and Deny close it for good. Read the technician's words, pick one, confirm, move on.

What you are looking at

Each item in the queue came from one technician's voice memo. It shows the technician's name, the job it came from, and the recommendation itself. The transcript of what they actually said is attached, so you can read their own words before deciding.

One memo can produce more than one recommendation, each with the technician's name on it.

Approve to quote

Approve means you want this in front of the customer. Mentat writes a draft quote into your Jobber for that customer, with the technician's notes in the quote's notes feed.

At approve you can enter a price. Where a line matches an item in your Jobber products and services list, the price can come from there. If you approve without a price, a note beside the button says so: the quote still goes to Jobber, as a draft flagged for the office to price before sending. Nothing is priced by guessing. A tech flagged something. What do I charge for it?

After you confirm, one message shows on screen, once: created, or needs attention because it did not land cleanly. The Jobber side is its own article. What happens after I approve a recommendation?

Snooze

Snooze is for a recommendation that is real but not for today. You pick a come-back date. The picker starts three weeks out and you can move it. On that date the recommendation returns to your queue for a fresh decision.

Nurture

Nurture is for work the customer should hear about in person, from your tech, rather than from a quote. It leaves the queue and shows up as a discuss-this marker in that technician's briefing the next time they have a visit at that property. They see what to bring up, never a price.

Maintenance

Maintenance closes the recommendation. It is final, and the recommendation does not come back.

Deny

Deny is for a recommendation you are not going to quote. The customer already declined it, it is not worth the trip, the tech misread the situation. It is final and the recommendation leaves the queue. Denying is not a mark against the technician.

The confirm step

Every one of the five opens a confirm step before anything happens. Approve's confirm says plainly that it writes into Jobber and cannot be undone.

A working rhythm

Open the queue once a day and clear it. A tech's first memo in particular should get a decision the same day, because that is the day they learn whether memos go anywhere. My techs are on Mentat but nothing is coming in. What do I do?

If it didn't work

The queue is empty. No memos have come in yet, or your technicians are not active. My techs are on Mentat but nothing is coming in. What do I do?

You approved and saw needs attention. The quote did not land cleanly in Jobber. What happens after I approve a recommendation?

You approved and cannot find the quote in Jobber. Check the account page shows Jobber connected, then look under the customer for a draft. What happens after I approve a recommendation?

A recommendation is on the wrong customer. Deny it and reply to any email from Mentat with the job name so it can be looked at.
